THE WORD FOR YES 'SÍ'
Sí means yes. Use it in exactly the same way as yes in English. Sí is an excellent example of the importance of accents in Spanish. ‘Si,’ without the accent means, ‘if.’

THE WORD FOR NO 'NO'
No means no. It is pronounced with a much more clipped O than in English. In English, No is pronounced the same as ‘know,’ so that the O is pronounced like a drawled, ‘oh.’
In Spanish, the O is pronounced like the the O in dot or not.
Try saying not but fail to pronounce the ‘t.’ Then you have the pronunciation of NO in Spanish
THE WORD FOR PLEASE - POR FAVOR
Por favor means please in Spanish. However, you will not hear Spanish people use please nearly as often as it is used in English. This is simply a cultural difference.
Por is pronounced like poor in English and favor is ‘fav (rhymes with lav) – or (same as English or) fav-or.
THE WORD FOR THANKYOU - GRACIAS
Gracias means thankyou. MUCHAS GRACIAS means thankyou very much. It is pronounced, ‘grath-ee-as.’
THE WORD FOR GOODBYE - ADIÓS
Adiós means goodbuye.
It is pronounced, ‘ad-ee-ós.’
